A new restaurant in Monaco designed to be an industrial interpretation of the traditional Tapas bars found in Barcelona.
The space did not exist previously and was designed from scratch, following the guidelines of the Client who wished for a a real tapas bar experience. Hence the creation of a 100 feet long bar counter, with many alcoves, open into the food preparation and cooking. 2 separate areas complete the place, a raised dining room and a Bodega. All the materials are selected to enhance the experience of an unfinished space, from the concrete slabs to the exposed ducts and conduits, to the vintage floor boards and wine barrels. A space one would compare to a loft in New York, then to a fancy restaurant on the Cote d’Azur. This restaurant sits within the overall renovation of the Mirabeau Residence in Monaco, where Casamanara designed the entrance lobby and all the common areas.
